Senior Data Analyst

Fast growing consulting company in Washington State has a position opening for a Senior Analyst. We work with our customers to solve data intensive problems and provide decision support tools so our clients can inform future decisions with their data. Your typical work week will include data mining, data analysis, applied statistics, stochastic simulation modeling, risk-analysis, and large-scale web-based report generation.
We are seeking an analyst who can join our team and work directly with our clients on active projects. The ideal candidate has the following qualifications and skills:
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or similar field of study
- Solid quantitative background with excellent analytical skills
- Strong software development skills
- Fluent in scientific computing languages and/or toolsets: Python, Matlab, R, SAS, SQL, etc. Demonstrated proficiency in multiple tools a plus. Python and related tools is a particular advantage
- Experience using data visualization packages such as Processing, Graphviz, Tableau, Matplotlib etc is also an advantage
- Strong communication skills, in English, both verbal and written
- Experience in the areas of web-based interfaces and visualization tools
- Must be a strong self-starter and able to work well independently with honesty and integrity
- Must be eligible for US employment and must pass US Government background check/security clearance
