Have you ever wished you could draw a picture of the data you manage with VFP? While an excellent data manipulator, VFP provides little in the way of tools for generating graphical representations of data. A relatively new web standard known as Scalable Vector Graphics format is about to change all that. SVG is an XML-based language for describing two dimensional graphics. The excellent native text handling capabilities Visual FoxPro offers position it well to take advantage of this emerging standard. Lauren will give a brief tutorial in SVG and then demonstrate some examples of how VFP can dynamically generate SVG to provide visualization aids for complex data sets and processes.
